Liberate Series

This series seeks to capture a very personal moment in the life of the artist, liberation. 

Throughout his life, in his childhood, he lived situations in which only today, through art, he can express and thus heal. 

It was created in 2021, after going through some particular years after having lived through a pandemic.

We can appreciate different women in his work, in different situations, leaving the viewer free to interpret and let the imagination fly without a horizon. 

It turns out to be such an interesting series because we can appreciate real moments, difficult situations that happen in daily life, in which girls, women, have suffered a lot.  boys and men ... 

The artist feels liberated to be able to transmit through her work, what still in the century we have lived, we can relate as unexpressed, non-verbalized situations, to this day they are still “Tabù”.

His desire is that the viewer can empathize with lived circumstances and thus be able to visualize, understand and accept since it is a way to evolve.

Sofía Balut Páez, from an early age felt deep concern for art and great admiration for what can be expressed through it. Which led her to investigate different techniques to finally focus today on the series "Liberate" so that the concurrent one can feel that one is always in time to react, get rid of patterns, fears, of lived situations. That it is never too late. 

The moment is today, liberation is now.
